Aufruf zu Solidarität gegen trans-misogyne Polizeigewalt

(for English version see below)

Stichwort: not surrender to oppression

statt Sicherheit.

wo die Regierung die Augen verschließt,
statt zu schützen.

wo Urteile ohne Bedeutung bleiben,

sie mit verbundenen Augen in die Polizeistation gebracht wurde;

trans*feindliche Polizeigewalt passiert
immer und immer wieder.
sie ist Realität.

es gibt keine Gerechtigkeit
doch es gibt Schmerz und Hoffnungen
auf Freiheit

kein Einzelfall
und doch kein Einzelfall

was bedeutet das?

Last year, Lara, a trans*empowering artist and activist from Munich, experienced brutal trans-misogynist police violence. After all the humiliation and degradation, she now has to pay a fine.

To be able to support Lara financially, Queerfeminist Network Munich is collecting donations.

We share the fundraising campaign and call on you to support Lara! You could donate via the platform Leetchi or to the following account:

Keyword: Never surrender to oppression!

And we share the poem “ A single case – but not a single case“, written
by our friends from the Queerfeminist Network, which tells about Lara’s
experiences.

Content note: The following text contains explicit descriptions about psychological and physical violence.

A single case – But not a single case
– call for building solidarity –

where police produces fear and violence,
instead of security

where government is blindfolded,
instead of protecting

where judgments remains indifferent,
while only trying to cover up injustice.

Some people are surrounded with triggers without warnings

and this is a trigger that is warning you

from the violence against the marginalised people
warning you from a neighborhood supermarket
and your police

have you heard about the trans-misogynist police violence?
it was against our friend
another trans woman
maybe you didn’t hear that she survived
she is a trans-empowering artist and activist.

her real name is anonymised
Lara was in a supermarket
Lara stole two cans of lemonade
and shared it with some person
on the street just in front of the supermarket
who also didn’t have that money

have you heard about how the securities pressed her on the ground, brutally

and can you believe that
when the police came
they don’t make sure that Lara is okay
they don’t end the misogynist violence
they take the charge using their institutional force
only to continue producing violence!

and can you believe that…
she was misgendered again and again
she was pushed in the car against the door
she was brought into the police station with covered eyes,
imagine a blanket over her head.

forced in a cell, stripped naked, her body exposed
left there – naked
later half-naked
later released B
traumatised by repetitive humiliation
charged with penalty costs
hurt and judged
under constant threat
and surviving!

do you believe it would be the same treatment,
when it’s about a suspicion of a minimal theft
to someone who is not trans
and who is not marginalised and discriminated?

The risk of ending up in jail,
the risk of getting expelled,
the risk of not surviving any further damage

it is a fact
trans misogynist police violence is happening
over and over again
it’s reality

there is no justice
but still hurt and hopes
for freedom

a single case
but not a single case

what does it mean?
and what does it mean for women,
for trans folks, for trans women,
for all outside the strict norms?
what does the fear of being treated and threatened like that lead to?

and what can one do with the fear?
let’s break the silence
and not surrender to oppression
let each other know, that we will support each other.
to rise up
individually
and collectivly

we see no point in seeking justice where corruption builded a nest
but we see a point in building solidarity!

and you can join solidarity
by destroying finacial pressure
with money donations
and by being loud
in support of all marginalised people

against patriarchy!
and cis-heteronormativity
